At the Goju-ryu Budokan Hakuba Dojo, we provide training and instruction tailored to age, physical ability, and goals.

① Warm-up exercises should take 20 to 30 minutes. These warm-up exercises also help build basic physical fitness.

② The basics involve efficient movements inherited from the founder, Master Chojun Miyagi, which help to improve posture and core strength.

③ "The secret to karate lies in the forms." The 12 forms of Goju-ryu are distinct from modern, sport-oriented karate. Every movement has meaning, and the meaning of each technique is carefully broken down and taught.

④ Mitt work is also a form of fitness training. Sweat it out and relieve stress!

⑤ Kumite (sparring) is practiced in various scenarios, including close-range combat starting from a point of contact called "kakie" in the Goju-ryu tradition, "irikumi" from a distance, and "yakusoku kumite" (prearranged sparring).

⑥ Self-defense techniques are incorporated into the warm-up exercises and become naturally ingrained through continued practice. However, the adult classes on Mondays focus primarily on fitness and self-defense techniques.

⑦ On Fridays, the adult training sessions will focus on Ryukyu Karate martial arts training as general practice.

In addition, we have many events throughout the year, including grading examinations twice a year, joint training sessions with the main dojo, domestic branches, and overseas branches, a training camp in Okinawa, and a training camp mainly for the children's division, and we also engage in many external exchanges.
